Betfair Sports: What is cash out and how does it work?
Cashing out will allow you to lock in a profit early if your bet is going in, or get a portion of your stake back if your bet is going wrong – all before the event you are betting on has finished.
Cash out offers are made in real time on your current bets, based on live market prices. Whenever you are ready to cash out, simply press the yellow button.
Cash out is available on single and multiple bets across a wide range of sports including football, tennis, horse racing and more! You can cash out bets pre-match, in-play and between rounds. Just keep an eye out for the cash out icon image, which indicates which of your bets will qualify for cash out.
Example:
Let’s say you place a R$ 40 bet on Norwich (6/4 or 2.5) and Liverpool (1/2 or 1.5) double. Norwich wins, and the Liverpool game is about to kick off. The cash out offer is R$ 96. Click Cash Out and you’re guaranteed a profit, even if Liverpool lose. The R$96 is returned to your account immediately, without you having to wait for the Liverpool game to finish.
Can I cash out my bet?
Yes – you can now do this using our new slider! Simply open the slider by clicking on ‘Cash Out Part of My Bet’ from the drop-down menu and choose the amount you’d like to cash out. As you move the slider to different positions, we’ll tell you exactly how much you would cash out at that point if you clicked the yellow Cash Out button, and how much more you would get if the bet had won.
Can I cash out bets made with a free bet token?
Of course! When the cash out offer is greater than the value of your free bet, you will see the offer in the yellow button.
Why isn't my bet appearing on the Cash Out Page?
Cash out is currently only available for certain bets. To ensure cash out is available for your bet, please check the following:
· All markets have the Cash Out icon next to them.
· All markets are being offered live
· The bet has no related selections
Does the withdrawal amount include my stake?
The "cash out" amount is the total amount that will be returned to your account if the cash out is successful, and the stake will not be returned separately.
Why is the cash out offer suspended?
A market is suspended when changes (goal scored etc.) occur during an event and so the probability of your bet being successful (and the odds of your bet) may change, either for the better or for the worse.
If a market is suspended, causing a delay in the bet request, your cash out request may fail. You would expect this to happen because a market suspension can cause a price change within a market that affects the cash out offer. As there are price changes, the cash out should fail until we know whether we need to offer a new number or what we did previously.
When betting is suspended on a market, cash out offers for singles in that market or for multiples involving that market are also suspended. If the cash out offer value is R$0, the cash out offer will also be suspended.
Why is there a delay when I click Cash Out?
During some live events, delays are used to ensure there is enough time to cancel bets when a key event occurs – such as a goal being scored.
Why was my cash out unsuccessful?
Cash out offers are not guaranteed. If there is a sudden large movement in market prices, the cash out may not be successful. If the cash out is successful, you will see a success message. If the cash out fails, you will see a failure message and a new offer will be displayed.
When do I receive my money?
When a cash out is successful, all returns are credited to the account immediately.
